Memory

he flickers in my consciousness
dim yet undying
he is the invisible enemy
that invaded my country
like the dust in my home
he surrounds me
his essence sprinkled
over fading memories

he flickers in my consciousness
dim yet undying
he resides within me
pulsing through these veins
he consumes me
a pound of flesh, each day

he flickers in my consciousness
dim yet undying
crazed
i walk these pavements
in pursuit of his face

Nothing

Nothing seems to make sense anymore.
The townspeople are screaming in an arcane dialect,
eyes blazing and faces contorted.
Noise, it fills the streets and hallways.
Stop, pray wont you stop.
I ask not much, just silence.
Sweet, sweet silence.
Silence, the sound of inaction.

Nothing seems to make sense anymore
The shapes are indistinguishable
The parallel lines must intersect somewhere?
Perhaps they come together at the horizon
Its one continuous blur
Nothing makes sense anymore...
